Open Door Concert Series: LOOKING BACK, LOOKING AHEAD

Another great season is behind us—and another is just ahead.

Imagine it: seven seasons and thirty-six Open Door Concerts featuring an incredible variety of musical genres presented by world-class artists. And there is even more to come, with five outstanding performers already scheduled for Season 8 beginning this October.

Celebrating Season 7

More than 1,400 concertgoers enjoyed this past season's remarkable lineup. Audiences were captivated by the acclaimed a cappella ensemble Kings Return, experienced Dorothy Papadakos performing on our magnificent pipe organ alongside a 1929 silent film, celebrated the holidays bayou-style with BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, and delighted in the sounds of regional jazz favorite Plunky & Oneness. The season concluded with a return appearance by beloved folk musician and storyteller John McCutcheon.

Looking Ahead to Season 8

The excitement continues as we prepare to welcome five more exceptional artists during Season 8. Beginning in October, the Open Door Concert Series will once again invite our community to experience the joy, inspiration, and connection that live music provides. Made Possible Through Generosity

Did you know that every Open Door Concert is made possible through the generosity of our patrons? Support comes from both church members and community friends, along with grants from the Williamsburg Area Arts Commission and the Williamsburg Community Foundation.

Thanks to this extraordinary financial support, the Open Door Concert Series production team believes we will continue to fulfill our mission: nurturing community through the presentation of the musical arts.
