One of our Williamsburg Presbyterian Church’s Outreach Ministries involves a partnership with Habitat for Humanity. In volunteering with Habitat, members help Habitat fulfill its mission “to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.” On Saturday, July 9, eight of our members worked together to put up siding on a house for a first-time homeowner and their children.
The cost to build the house we were working on – land, materials, contractors – will be approximately $125,000. But, thanks to several hundred hours of volunteer labor, when completed it will be appraised at around $250,000.
As always, WPC’s Habitat team enjoyed our fellowship together while being God’s hands serving our fellow siblings in Christ.
