WPC Families Begins The New Season

Our annual “recipe sharing” meeting kicks-off the season on Monday, September 19, at 5:30pm in Stevenson Hall. 

In past recipe-sharing meetings, we have shared quick and easy family-friendly recipes in person and over Zoom, we have baked soft pretzels together and shared appetizer ideas over Zoom, and we have assembled a freezer meal together in Stevenson Hall.  This year, we are talking SCHOOL LUNCHES!

If you are a mom whose child will be new to packing a school lunch, and you’re looking for some ideas/tips/hints, or if you are “veteran” lunch-packing momma, and you are just looking for something NEW, this meeting is for you! All WPC Families that join us for the evening (and remember, if you are reading this, YOU are a WPC Family member!) are encouraged to bring their favorite school-lunch ideas, questions, tips, “hacks,” etc. Everyone that attends will share their favorite go-to ideas with the group (bonus points if the kids can help with prep!)

Childcare will be available for elementary-aged children and under. Dinner is provided for everyone who attends. If you have any questions about our group, please contact Jodie Davis.

Jodie Davis

Jodie was born and raised outside Pittsburgh, PA. A life-long Presbyterian, she has served in many capacities in her previous churches, including membership on many Christian Education Committees, Nursery Committee member and Chair, VBS Volunteer and Coordinator, Christmas Camp Coordinator, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher (adults and children) and participant, usher, greeter, volunteer and participant for Presbyterian Women, including WPC’s PW Coordinating Team, and several nominating committees.  

Jodie has a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus in Infant and Early Child Development, and a Master’s Degree at William and Mary in Educational Administration, with an emphasis on Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership, graduating in 2012. 

Several years after graduating from Penn State, Jodie met and married Gary, who was serving in (and is now retired from) the US Coast Guard.  Gary and Jodie are the proud parents of daughters Megan and Audrey.  The entire Davis family is involved in and grateful for the family-friendly community that is WPC!

Jodie’s great joy at WPC is working with the youngest church members as they begin their faith journey.
