About the Roundtable Pulpit
The Roundtable Pulpit is a group of lay persons who meet each week with the Rev. Dr. John E. Morgan for 6 weeks to discuss the biblical text for the upcoming Sunday sermon. The series this fall, "Rogues and Reprobates," will focus on lessons from the Gospel of Luke, Chapters 16-19.
You do not need to be a biblical scholar to participate. As a participant, you will have an opportunity to learn about sermon formation and assist in widening the pastor's perspective, promoting collaboration and public forum of theology in the pulpit.
Out of this conversation, a sermon will be preached by Rev. Morgan that Sunday. It is believed that out of this conversation, a richer, more meaningful and relevant witness to the power and presence of God in our lives and in our world will be possible. Sermons will be posted by title under their corresponding date after they have been preached and comments or reactions to them are always welcome.
How to Participate
The group is limited to 15 participants and rotates regularly in order to add diversity to the insights resulting from the conversations. To register for the fall 6-week session, email Pastor Morgan or call the church office. Once received, your registration will be confirmed.
