The Advent/Christmas fun begins this year with our annual and long-standing tradition, the WPC Advent Celebration. Activities for all ages will be set up in Stevenson Hall beginning at 3pm, before the Williamsburg Christmas Parade. The 2023 parade, with the theme “Jingle Bell Jubliee,” will begin at 5pm. Please join us for an afternoon of fun and fellowship! Click above for a sampling.
Advent Crafts and Activities (3-4:30pm)
In Stevenson Hall there will be activities for everyone to enjoy.
For Kids
There will be a table for the youngest to play and work out some wiggles (playdough, coloring, etc). Kids can make some reindeer food for the “big night,” a super cute light-up milk jug snowman, and pipe cleaner candy canes for the Christmas tree.
And Adults
Adults can make a beautiful scarf wreath for the door, some cookie cutter peppermint ornaments (kids, too, but adult supervision around the oven will be required!), and a snowy clothespin ornament.
Fun for All Ages
Everyone can participate in the popular orange/clove pomander activity!
Special Sampling of a Rise Against Hunger Meal
Have you ever wondered what the Rise Against Hunger food we package tastes like? A couple of the food bags did not fit into the boxes from the October 14 package event. We will be preparing and serving them during the afternoon. Come and taste what your efforts yielded, and what will be delivered to families around the world to fight hunger.
Christmas Parade Hospitality Tent (4-6pm)
Be sure to bring your chairs to get a good spot right outside the church, and join other WPC Families and friends to watch the parade together! The hospitality tent will be set up starting at 4pm so you can transition outside as you finish your activities.
Invite a friend or family to join you. We look forward to seeing you!
