It’s one of the most exciting parts of the year when we get to welcome back all our children, students, and families for a brand-new school year! Sunday School and WPC Youth resume on September 7, and an exciting year is planned for all.
Sunday School
We are so excited about this year and will be rolling out a brand-new curriculum for preschool–fifth grade: The Spark Rotation curriculum. Each month will be focused on one “Big Story of the Bible,” which children will have the opportunity to explore through four different workshops: Godly Play, Science, Art, and Bible Games. The story for September will be Creation!
Kids Connect Day Camp
During teacher workdays, kids in kindergarten–5th grade are invited to join us from 9am–4pm for games, music, a Bible story, service projects, and more! The first Kids Connect will be on October 3, and registration is now open for all four-day camps.
Children's Choirs
Carol Choir: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
Junior Choir: 3rd through 5th Grades
Both choirs rehearse on Thursday afternoons 4:30–5:15pm at the church, beginning September 11.
Our children's choirs offer fun and welcoming environments for students to explore and nurture their creative and spiritual gifts, to grow in faith, and to experience the meaningful contributions they can make by sharing music in worship and praise. Both choirs work on vocal and handbell music, which, in addition to being fun, gives our participants a more well-rounded background in music.
Text @wpccarol to 81010 to sign up or email Rebecca Elton for more information.
WPC Youth
The youth group will quickly be jumping into planning for Youth Sunday, which will take place this year on November 16. WPC Youth can also look forward to more of what they love: eating together, singing together, playing games, doing service projects, and exploring the Bible and spiritual practices.
Volunteers are needed to provide weekly Sunday night dinners for WPC Youth.
Trunk or Treat Fall Festival
Save the date for October 26, because we’ll be having a giant Trunk or Treat Fall Festival that you will not want to miss! In collaboration with our next-door neighbors, Williamsburg Baptist, we will have trunk or treating PLUS food, pumpkin decorating, face painting, games, an inflatable obstacle course, and more! Sign-ups will soon be open for volunteers!
