Introducing Water Mission

This year, Earth Care will be helping the children attending Vacation Bible School (VBS) learn about the importance of clean water and the work of Water Mission. Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that builds sustainable, safe water solutions for people in developing countries, refugee camps, and disaster areas. Today, more than two billion people around the world lack access to safe water—an urgent global issue with life-threatening consequences.

Making a Global Impact

Water Mission teams have worked in over 60 countries, bringing clean water to communities in need. Their reach spans from distant places like Ukraine, Myanmar, and Thailand to nearby regions such as western North Carolina.

How Water Mission Helps

Water Mission addresses the water crisis through a variety of initiatives, including:

  • Distributing water purification packets and hygiene kits
  • Installing reverse osmosis systems, solar-powered water systems, mobile water systems, and drilling boreholes to serve thousands daily
  • Partnering with churches and local ministries to respond to emergency needs
  • Training local technicians to maintain water treatment systems, ensuring long-term sustainability led by local residents

Learn More

Water Mission is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You can learn more about their mission and projects by visiting watermission.org.
