An Update from The Legacy Giving Team

February 12, 2026

Legacy Giving Program Continues to Develop

On February 1, we joyfully announced the continued development of the Legacy Giving Program. Legacy gifts, made by including WPC in our estate plans, provide for generations we will not see. They are expressions of our faith in God, gratitude to past generations that built and nurtured this church we love, and hope for the future of WPC. Those gifts will sustain existing ministries and allow the church take advantage of opportunities for growth and service that we cannot foresee. Our theme is straightforward: “Your Legacy, Our Church’s Future.”
Our theme is straightforward: “Your Legacy, Our Church’s Future.”

You have recently received a letter inviting you to consider including WPC in your estate plans and to let us know if you have done so by returning the reply form included with the letter. If you have already notified the church that you have made a legacy gift commitment, we ask that you return the form now so that we can be sure our records are accurate.

If you have made a legacy commitment but have not yet informed the church, we hope you will take this opportunity to do so. We will not ask anyone who documents a legacy commitment to disclose the details of their estate plan. We want to be sure that all legacy givers are invited to enjoy the fellowship and recognition of the Cornerstone Society, which was established to honor their commitment. You can document your legacy gift – be it through your will, IRA, life insurance, or trust – at any time by visiting the Legacy Giving website landing page at mywpc.org/legacy.

We know that you have many considerations as you make estate plans and that these matters require time and prayer. This is an ongoing program, not a campaign that is designed to meet specific needs quickly. We will continue to provide information and guidance if you request it, and friendly reminders in the months and years to come. It has been said that legacy giving is a matter of faith and finance. It is that, and it is also a reflection of joy, love, gratitude, hope, and prayerful thought.
