Honoring Grief & Embracing Hope During the Holidays

Advent

The holiday season brings beauty, warmth, and traditions we treasure — and for many, it also brings moments of longing, tender memories, and a quiet ache for those no longer with us. Grief is present with us even when the world the world around us is merry and bright. Sometimes our hearts need a gentle place to rest, remember, and be renewed.

If you are carrying love and loss this season — whether recent or from years past — you are not alone. We invite you to a compassionate gathering where we will honor our grief, celebrate the love that lives on, and open ourselves to the small, steady light of hope.

Through simple liturgy, reflective writing, and guided prayer, we will create space for both memory and meaning. There is no pressure to share — simply come as you are. Together, we will hold a sacred pause in the busyness of the season, supporting one another in the promise that even in sorrow, God draws near.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” — John 1:5

Please join us as we remember with love and honesty, rest in God’s love, and discover glimmers of peace along the way.

Join us for a light lunch of soup and sandwiches after the gathering, supplied by Pastor Pam. Registration is requested by Tuesday, December 2.
