Food Drive for Summer Meals for Kids
Outreach
The food drive is a great way to support Summer Meals for Kids. The drive will be held in the WPC back parking from 10 a.m. to noon. All donations collected will help provide snacks for the children receiving the summer meals. Just drive up, and WPC Christian Outreach volunteers will accept your donations.
Below is a list of items most needed. Where possible, versions with no sugar added are preferred for items like fruit juices and fruit cups. Please avoid products with nuts or peanut butter.
- Drinks (Bottles of water, juice boxes)
- Snacks - Individual servings of
- Granola Bars (no nuts please)
- Chips, cheese crackers or pretzels
- Fruit cups
- Fruit Strips
- Raisins
- Rice Krispie treats, cookies, etc.
The Christian Outreach Committee urges you to consider participating in this drive. If we all work together, we can help provide lunches for 250 children who receive free or subsidized school lunches during the school year. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Winthrop.
