The Endowment Fund was established in 2015 to provide a legacy of generous support to our community. Since its inception, the Fund has grown to $911,000, thanks to generous contributions and investment growth. More importantly, WPC has awarded $177,000 in grants since 2015. As the Endowment funds continues grow, the allocation available for grants each year will also increase.
In 2019, the purpose of the fund was expanded to include not only supporting community grants but also dedicating a small amount of funds to the Ministries of WPC and Building & Facilities. As such, grants are made through one of three permanent funds:
- Charitable: A permanent fund to initiate or support worthy community projects. These grants are limited to programs and organizations not currently supported by the Church’s budgeted benevolences.
- Ministries: A permanent fund to support WPC programs for the Glory of God. These programs enhance and develop new or existing ministries through worship, education, outreach, evangelism, and fellowship.
- Building and Facilities: For maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to our Church that the capital reserve fund does not cover.
