The Endowment Fund was established in 2015 to provide a legacy of generous support to our community. Since its inception, the Fund has grown to $840,000, thanks to generous contributions and investment growth. More importantly, WPC has awarded $161,000 in grants since 2015 and – as the fund totals grow – even more funds will become available.
In 2019, the purpose of the fund was expanded to include not only supporting community grants but also dedicating a small amount of funds to the Ministries of WPC and Building & Facilities. As such, grants are made through one of three permanent funds:
- Charitable: A permanent fund to initiate or support worthy community projects. These grants are limited to programs and organizations not currently supported by the Church’s budgeted benevolences.
- Ministries: A permanent fund to support WPC programs for the Glory of God. These programs enhance and develop new or existing ministries through worship, education, outreach, evangelism, and fellowship.
- Building and Facilities: For maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to our Church that the capital reserve fund does not cover.
