Associate Pastor for Community Care
Office: 757-229-4235 X122
Rachel has called Williamsburg, VA and Williamsburg Presbyterian Church home since 2015, and comes by way of Princeton Theological Seminary. Originally raised in Texas, Rachel spent her undergrad at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, did a one-year college ministries internship in Tulsa, OK, and while in seminary interned at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City. Rachel has a love of traveling, and her favorite place to travel to every year is Guatemala to visit our sister churches through WPC’s mission and outreach program. Being the pastoral staff support for WPC’s mission and outreach endeavors has included trips to the Eastern Shore with Habitat for Humanity both with WPC and with the college fellowship group, UKirk Williamsburg. Rachel’s passion for college ministry is witnessed through her work with the UKirk students, as well as serving on the denomination’s UKirk National Board. Inspired by her work with collegiate students, heart for social justice, and person experience and openness regarding her own mental health journey, Rachel is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry from Union Presbyterian Seminary.
When not in the office, Rachel can be found grabbing a glass of wine with friends, singing along to Broadway showtunes (she’s proudly seen “Hamilton” live three times!), or enjoying coffee and a good book at home with her cats, Meg and Beth.
[For the record, Rachel's latest favorite coffee shop in town is "The Bake Shop" that opened in 2021 right around the corner from WPC!]
