WPC’s Christian Outreach Ministry and its Hunger and Homeless team are always looking for ways to serve God by helping our neighbors in need. The team has invited Outreach-sponsored partner, Grove Christian Outreach Center (GCOC) to speak to WPC members on November 20, to educate, promote fellowship, and present volunteer opportunities.
GCOC was selected from a large pool of worthy outreach partners, because they are a local agency that feeds, clothes, provides financial assistance, and nourishes the souls of the residents in the Grove area of James City County. WPC has a number of volunteers who regularly serve at the center and the Hunger and Homeless team provides meals more than 10 times a year to GCOC clients.
Grove’s Executive Director, Katie Patrick, is an enthusiastic speaker and will provide an enjoyable presentation describing their mission at our “Soup For Your Soul” luncheon. Please join us for a light lunch of soup, salad, and bread on Sunday, November 20 in Stevenson Hall after the 11:00am worship service.
