The Good Friday service, officially called, "And There Was Darkness: A Solemn Service for Good Friday," is a continuation of the somber contemplation of Holy Week events. The tone is set as this service begins with a starkly adorned table–displaying only a crown of thorns–after the elements were stripped at the conclusion of the Maundy Thursday service.
